    Edit: I just looked over this guide again and there are things that you do not need to do if you aren't going to connect remotely. I would first worry about getting the basics down first like getting the shield working first.

    The shield works perfectly.

    The problem is in the Jellyfin app 'on shield'. No server address that I enter in Jellyfin will work.

    Are you still typing your 99. addresses? Did you figure out what the local address is for the computer running jellyfin server?

    Do you have a "Base URL" configured in Jellyfin?  E.g., my Jellyfin setup has the server listening at the /jellyfin path, so on the Shield using the (excellent!) Android TV client, I manually enter the server as "10.10.1.254/jellyfin".
