Hello. I recently set up Jellyfin, running on Linux, and it is working well for the most part. However there is one issue. I am able to connect through a web browser, my TV, and my PS4 on my network, as well as remotely on my android using LTE.

My daughter lives down the street, and I set up an account for her. She is able to connect through her Iphone, and through her Ipad, but not with her TV, or PS4. She says that she is unable to reach the server to log in on those devices.

I'm not running a reverse proxy, just port forwarding.

I have not been able to go look 1st hand, but what could cause this issue, and what should be done to try and fix the problem?

Are you port forwarding http or https? Is your daughter using the correct http/https in the address? Do you see the connection attempts in your server log?

The only options my router (SBG6580) gives are TCP or UDP. IT's running through http though. The oldest date in the log is 10/27, and the last time she tried from her TV or PS4 was on 10/26.

It's strange that remote connections are working on multiple devices, just not those two. She said she's typing the address in exactly as I sent it to her, but I'll tell her to try it again when she gets home, and to send me a picture of the screen just to verify.

This is the setup on the router end.

She is not using the address in that image to reach the server. That's my local IP. She is using my external IP, as are all of the working devices.

IP addresses are typically not static, so you'll need to use a DDNS service to resolve your IP.

Sorry, I should have mentioned it is a static IP. Never changes after a power outage, reboot, ect.

DDNS is not enabled on my router right now.

Think I got it figured out. She was typing in the full web address to the server in the login screen, including the /web/index.html, rather than just the IP and port.

I'll have her try it again when she gets home, but that should fix it.
