I deploy jellyfin on vps. The problem is,sometimes, not always especially on peak time(night),jellyfin will stop/buffering at random time.
Any suggestion beside vpn?

Is it transcoding? And the VPS isn't able to handle the load? Can you share your full jellyfin logs via privatebin.net?

Maybe. Not buffering specifically, but it would log any connectivity issues with the client. And the logs would give me a better idea of how it is configured and its general health. But, if there are no logs indicating Jellyfin specific issues, it may just be a limitation of your VPS provider. Either in network resources or whether another tenant on your server is hogging resources, assuming this is a shared vCPU kind of VPS. |
