SOLVED: Jellyfin vs vlan

On PI4b , ubuntu server
I have been on a quest to replace minidlna with something a little more up to date and that is actively maintained .

So far I have tried KODI , UMS and Gerbera .

Currently I'm trying out Jellyfin . It looks good except for 1 thing .
My home setup is divided into multiple vlans .I have setup my openwrt router to allow ssdp discovery across vlans .
minidlna,KODI , UMS and Gerbera can be discovered by my control point (HIFICast on Android) across the vlan boundary .

Jellyfin cannot .

If I put my phone on the same vlan as Jellyfin the discovery works .

Any thoughts ?

That didnt work (my reply) .
upnp was disabled in the xml file even though I thought I enabled it after installing the plugin .

Now I can connect across the vlans with HIFICast.
