Hello All,
I'm trying to migrate to Jellyfin (JF) from Plex as Plex has now gone to a revenue model for remote access. I have JF server set up on an old Dell PC, and it is accessing my media (movies & music) libraries. Two issues:
1. Spent many hours trying to get the JF app on my iphone to connect to the JF server to no avail.
2. JF server, which is connected to my home wifi router cannot "see" my four different Chromecasts in my home which are on the same wifi network.
I have tried innumerable suggestions from YouTube and JF forum with zero success. At this point, I am looking for anyone willing to help me online to figure out why I can't connect my iphone to the JF server. The setup documentation for this function is either vague or non-existent.
Is there ANYONE who can help online? If JF wants to be utilized as a replacement for Plex, there needs to be much better instruction sets on how to sync remote devices to a JF media server, and how to have JF recognize Chromecast devices on the same existing network.
