Hi, I'm new to Jellyfin so apologies if this is silly question. I'm running Jellyfin on a VPS. I created a folder called 'movies' within my home folder and within movies, I've added all my movies (within subfolders for each movie). When I try setting up Jellyfin to add a library, Jellyfin doesn't detect any subfolders under the /home folder. And when I scan the /home folder, it doesn't show me the movies either. I'm definitely doing something wrong, but can't seem to figure it out.

Any help would be very appreciated.

    Thank you.

This is your problem.  Don't store your media in your home directory.  jellyfin, by default doesn't have permissions to access it.  You should NOT grant other users permissions to your home directory.

Move your media to a shared folder.  Something like /media.  Some place that isn't your home or /root.
