Kodi Subtitles with Jellycon

So I'm having an issue with subtitles in Jellycon on Kodi.

Everytime I select an item to play, I get a prompt asking which subtitles I want. 

If I select English, then it'll start loading and then give up. 

If I select no subtitles, it'll play, but I'll have no available subtitles and I'll have to pause playing to download. 

I've already set Jellycon to never ask for subtitles.

I've already set my preferred language for subtitles in Kodi.

I'm using the latest version of Jellyfin on Windows 64. 

I'm using the latest version of Kodi on a Mi Box S.

Jellycon only has a flag to ask for sub if they're external (separate files from the video). I can't replicate your behavior about it always asking. I only get the prompt if I have the setting enabled and have external sub files.

There does appear to be a bug that after going through the external subs prompt you can't change the subtitles to another track, so I'll have to look into that more.

Setting language in Kodi has no effect on what the addon does. afaik that setting only has effect with subtitle downloaders, not during playback.
