Hi everyone,
i am running a jellyfin server version 10.8.8 in a docker container on my NAS and use the official webOS app on my LG C3 (with DTS support). Almost everyhting runs fine and the experience is great. However, there are 2 minor problems.
1. The server transcodes everything with DTS audio although the TV can handle DTS. Workaround: i deactivated transcoding and now DTS will be played. Not ideal but no real problem either.
2. MKVs containing DTS audio will be remuxed and that usually means I can't fast forward or jump to a specific time stamp. I have to watch the movie from the start and can't jump where I last stopped. This really is annyoing me and I can't find a way around it. The same movie will play just fine when I switch to AC3. According to the user manual the TV can handle DTS audio when using mkv as a container. When I deactivate remuxing in my user profile however, the movie won't play and abort with an error.
So my two questions are:
1. Is there a way to find out, if this is a bug or the TV really can't handle MKVs containing DTS?
2. IF the TV handle DTS, how do I force the server to stop remuxing?
I hope you get what I try to say, english is not my native language. I attached a log of a movie that produces the exact behavior.
Thanks in advance!
