Hey there, I've tried to migrate to Jellyfin recently but hit a wall regarding the LG WebOS client.

Basically, what happens is that Jellyfin does not direct play HDR content in LG OLED B7P model.

    Here's some specs:
    TV: LG Oled B7 (2017) - WebOS 3.9.2 - Software version 06.10.45

    Jellyfin version: 10.10.7

Your installation method and platform: Linuxserver Docker container

A brief description of the issue as your thread subject: Jellyfin requires transcoding for any kind of HDR content on LG Oled B7 model, even though this TV is able to play HDR, HDR10, LG HLG, DV, DV-HDR directly. The native player is able to reproduce these players directly, from DLNA or other media serving apps, so it's expected that Jellyfin could do the same. However, it decides to transcode all the HDR files I've tried on it. I've tried HDR through MKV container, HDR10 over MKV container, HLG over MKV container with no success. All these files are reproduced directly with no need of transcoding through other methods.

I've digged around this issue and it seems that this behaviour does not happen in more recent LG Oled tvs. So it's probably the combo of 2017 LG TVs + Jellyfin.

Let me know if there's a workaround. I'm willing to beta test any changes in my TV so you can debug this issue too.
