The new version of the app requires a recent version of the server (v10.8 for example won't work).
However, there will be a Legacy version of the app released to the Roku store this Tuesday for anyone that can't update their servers for whatever reason.
If you can though, I highly recommend you update your server (if you can) since it has not only a lot of new features but security updates too.
