Yeah that’s the same behavior as in Apple Music. The compilation will show up under the featured artist.

I believe a compilation will also be listed as a full album under albums.

Jellyfin does differentiate between artists and album artists, however, so even if it doesn’t seem to support compilation tags, there must be something similar going on.

Yes. Jellyfin does support "Artist" and "Album Artist" fields, which allows for distinguishing between a featured artist on a song in an album vs THE artist of the whole album.
