Live TV on AppleTV

Are there any solutions on iOS for playing LiveTV? It seems the feature in Swiftin is marked "alpha" and hasn't been updated in forever, so gotta asume it's abandonware. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of players in the store. Do some of the IPTV jobbies work?

Jellyfin Mobile just received a big update. Try that. And Swiftfin is undergoing a massive rework so updates have been slow while that happens.

I don't recall if Infuse supports live TV. But that is a paid app, if that matters to you.

Hi,

are you talking about tvOS (as the title suggests) or iOS? LiveTV works for me on iOS using Jellyfin Mobile as suggested by TheDreadPirate (Swiftfin keeps crashing).

On tvOS only Swiftfin is available, but it works for LiveTV. I'm using tvheadend as the backend and had to set "Force transcoding of external media (e.g. LiveTv)" in the user settings as well as disable "prefer fMP4-HLS as media container" in the user profile playback settings. I'm not sure if those settings are named this way, my instance is in German.

As for other clients, tvhclient works well on iOS, though I don't like the design. Haven't tested on tvOS.
