    Hello!

    Every time I play a large (size) movie or tv show episode, it takes a lot of time, around 7 minutes. If it's the second episode it won't start, not in an hour even (max time I waited). Only if I restart the container or whole docker then I can wait ~7 minutes and will start. Small files like 720p files plays in 5-7 seconds. That happens only on Apple TV (HD 2015 model latest ios update) In browser, everything is ok.

    My setup:
    A HP pavilion 15 laptop
    CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz
    It has a dGPU from Nvidia but I dont know how to passthrogh VM (another story)
    RAM: 8GB
    SSD: 256GB
    HDD: 1TB

    Software: Proxmox server with 2 VMs: 1. ubuntu with pi-hole (using only pi-hole) and 2. Fedora with docker where i have installed 3 containers. I have Portainer, Jellyfin and Transmission.
    Jellyfin was installed using the tutorial from the site. Its the latest version, same with fedora server.

    What I  tried:
    I read that can be a problem from the mount of the HDD, tried different ones (like different locations and times of formatting) but without luck.
    I thought I don't have enough memory or ram or CPU threads but monitoring the metrics I saw is not that.
    I tried to change the transcoding from Intel to Apple (I thought is on the client side) and changed some settings like bitrate streaming or HVEC encoding, H.264 encoding CRF values up and down, Throttle Transcodes off and on.
    I deleted some plugins.

    Attached are the last ffmped and jellyfin logs.
    Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a nice day ahead!

    frame= 1 fps=0.0 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=-00:00:00.02 bitrate=N/A speed=N/A
    frame= 214 fps=0.0 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=00:00:00.10 bitrate=N/A speed=0.205x
    frame= 396 fps=395 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=00:00:07.71 bitrate=N/A speed= 7.7x

    just looks like the server took forever to access the file, once it did it went fairly quick
    the only thing it looks like to me is it had to spin the drive up because it went to sleep, if it wasn't that then i really couldn't offer any other insight

    (note to jellyfin devs; timestamps in the ffmpeg log would be useful here)

    Besides the illegal content on your Jellyfin server, i wonder how the ATV is connected to the network? Cable or Wi-Fi? If Wi-Fi, please try using a cable, it could also be related to that, if other devices dosent have this issue.

    Can you share some of the TRANSCODE ffmpeg logs?

    99% certain this would be resolved when you figure out how to get your GPU into the container.

    Your CPU is pretty old and was on the lower end when it was new. So even the audio only transcodes are taking a few seconds to load.
