Hi everyone,
I already have some experience with Jellyfin, was doing it on my Windows PC with Docker + arr apps, networking, vpn and so on, everything works great, but I am buying a M2 Mac mini in the next couple weeks, mostly for iOS Development like GitLab Runners, so this thread is not for hardware suggestions for a Jellyfin, but I thought putting my Jellyfin on there would be a nice alternative too, because I don't have my Windows PC on 24/7.
So my question is really should I stick with my Docker setup, because of the Arr Apps and everything around it or should I switch to the Jellyfin App (maybe better encoding performance?)
And also what about hardware encoding on the Mac? I have seen this Mac Encoding Thread on here and I got a couple questions, now with the current version being 10.9.3, does the discussed ffmpeg version come with docker? Should I need to install ffmpeg separately via homebrew?
Any help and tips would be appreciated!
