Interlaced content won't allow skipping

So I have a UK show and the entire season is 50fps 1080i. JF won't save the current file position to resume, or allow skipping forwards/backwards. Same happens on Samsung Tizen app, Android JF app and Findroid.

Running latest JF server and Web release. Any ideas? Regular non interlaced content works fine

Strange. Interlaced and non-interlaced shouldn't make a difference. Can you share your log via pastebin?

Hey I'd love to but the main log only shows transcodes, and this is direct playing? Or am I looking at the wrong one? 



I notice there are no play controls at all showing on the Dashboard for this content. It shows for every other show or movie.

What container is this in? Is this a OTA recording in a TS container? If so, we'd need to remux the video into a MP4 or MKV container container.

It's already in a mkv container that's what's so strange about it. Also side note, my newest Samsung S92C TV updated to Tizen 8, it forced me to reinstall Jellyfin and that works for skipping these episodes. But any TV on Android TV or older Tizen won't skip or save position. Android and Findroid on phone won't skip or save position.

It may be a malformed MKV container, which I've seen before.  Remuxing properly may still resolve this.

What OS is your server running so I can give you a more specific ffmpeg command?

I'm running on Windows 11 and just to be clear, it's the entire season not just a single episode. Thanks

If they're from the same source, every file could be affected. This wouldn't be the first time I've seen someone have this issue for an entire season.

Let's try with a single episode and test it out.

From a command prompt.

Yep that fixed it, gosh that's annoying, I'm going to have to blacklist the release group, because the show is ongoing so I'd have to manually do this every day lol
