What error/behavior are you seeing? What kind of device is the Android TV? What codec is the video? What are your server specs?

    The unsupported format error

Type of device any APP on Android TV for example: Any TV with Android TV or TV Box like Mecool, Hako Pro... etc.

the video codec how can I find this out?

    My server is: i5 13500 with 32GB RAM DDR4

Should I touch something in the playback settings?

You need to enable hardware acceleration.

I run JellyFin through https://casaos.io/ can I do it in the same way following this tutorial?

Do I check the Enable HEVC encoding checkbox?

Yes, check "Enable HEVC encoding". Check all the codec boxes except VP8.

I don't know how different the process is for Casa OS. My understanding is that you install Casa OS on top of Linux? Is that right? They recommend Debian? So the process should be the same if you have access to the command line.

I have installed casaOS on UBUNTU, yes, casaOS allows access to the command line.

great, I will try it and I will comment to see how it works, thank you very much for the help.

@TheDreadPirate All other checkboxes must also be checked? https://i.imgur.com/BmK2FsB.png

All of the checkboxes in your screenshot should be checked. The low power encoding boxes can be unchecked. If you want to check them you will need to do some extra steps.
