Hi I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, if its just me and if someone can help me out.

Basically this is the second time my files have been deleted not only from jellyfin but from my servers file system to. The only common thread I can think of is both occurred after a power outage and I had to restart my homelab. When I did this for some reason ubuntu changed my disk name (keeping the original name but adding a 1 after it) I had to re-add the server to Jellyfin and then some of my media disappeared.

I then redownloaded my media and re-installed ubuntu starting from scratch. its now happened again.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Does Jellyfin have the ability to delete files of the file system?

I would really like to find out what is happening and if I can stop this in the future as its becoming extremely frustrating

How are you installing Jellyfin on Ubuntu? I'm assuming directly on Ubuntu. And where are you putting your media files? If you've put your files in one of Jellyfin's cache or temporary folders, Jellyfin periodically cleans them up.
