Hi, I’m using Jellyfin on my home lab with multiple users and separate libraries. I have global libraries like “Movies” and “Shows” visible to all users. I also have user-specific libraries, for example “User A Movies” and “User A Shows,” which are visible only to User A.

What I want is for User A to see only two libraries: “Movies” and “Shows.” However, I want these to include both the global content and User A’s personal content, effectively merging their access without actually showing the user-specific libraries separately.

Is there a way in Jellyfin to combine or aggregate library content for a user while maintaining separate access rules for others?

No, that is not something Jellyfin can do.
An alternative to creating many libraries is to use tags, but that would probably be a decent amount of work.

Thanks for the quick reply! I can live with having multiple libraries. Just started using Jellyfin and I'm really loving it so far. Keep up the great work!
