I just created my Jellyfin server and a lot of metadata is not correct so I'm manually changing and I was wondering if the metadata is binded to the file name like in Plex or to the full directory.

If you're fixing your media. It's best to correct the folder names and add the media provider ID for hard-to-identify media.
