Can I control where the server client stores its data?

Hi, New here. I'm a long time Plex user and for the most part it's been ok, however, recently I've run into a showstopper issue, that being where the server client stores its metadata.
Currently, in my Mac, it stores it mostly in two system folders. Application support & Caches. The problem is they're growing and I can't control them apart from deleting the cache folder.
This is imperfect and still leaves the metadata folder in Application Support growing without constraint or any ability to control or move it.
So my question for Jellyfin is this, can I decide where all application data is stored within settings/preferences on my Mac or PC?

    Many thanks,
    Neurone.

    Dashboard > General

There is a field to set a metadata path.
