Hello, I would like to play music videos via JF.
How exactly does the path structure have to be so that I can also display album covers?

    My structure is current:
    Artist - Title e.g.
    Schiller - Time travel

The music video can be played, but I don't see any metadata.

    Thanks in advance

Metadata is, as for all media provided via either external services (those you have to enable though the library settings) or NFO files. In case of music, some metadata can also be embedded into the audio files itself.

Since I have the same question as the OP, I would like to jump in. So music videos are treated the same as music files? Is this how the folder structure would have to be?

    /Music Videos
        /Artist
           artist.nfo
           fanart.ext
           folder.ext
           thumb.ext
           artist-title.mp4
           artist-title.nfo

    Thank you for your time

AFAIK, there is no metadata lookups for Music Videos in a Music Video library type. And they won't show up in a plain Music library type.

But it looks like you have NFOs and I think Jellyfin will use those to some degree.

Thank you for the reply. I am a long term Kodi user, since XBMC Atlantis (2008 ), so all of my media have nfo files. I just need to get them in the proper place for Jellyfin to read them. When I test scanned my Music Videos in, Jellyfin picked up all the information in my nfo files. However, since at the time, they were not organized by artist, they were displayed only in "folder" view. I hope by having my Music Videos organized as I stated in my last post, will open up new display options.

Thank you again for your reply. I do appreciate it!

I am about to add Music Videos and trying to decide on folder structure for it. How did this work out for you? What structure did you find to work the best? I noticed that in the Jellyfin instructions for nfo is says "Music Videos: see Movies"

Sorry for the delay in my reply. Was without a computer for a little bit. I still received just the folder view. However, all of the data from my nfo files were there. I confirmed this by opening the library in Kodi using the Jellyfin for Kodi plugin.

What I use for an nfo file can be found here:
