Recently i found that mkv files with flac 48khz and embedded subtitles refuse to load, if at all. this is more noticeable with movies since large files.
My system
intel i3-13100f
16gb ram
gtx 1650
windows 10
what ive tried:
recreated the server on my main pc
intel i7-9700k
32gb ram
2060 super
windows 10
same issue
whats fixed the issue
soft fix, not 100% solution.
extracting the subtitles. while this works for some files, some files outright wont load the subtitles when selecting them.
Hard fix
i noticed that converting the flac audio to aac or a3c fixed the issue, also reducing the hz from 48khz to 44100 khz also fixed the issue.
this issue only occurs with mkv's that have flac and embedded subs. all other audio such as aac mkvs and embedded subs work fine no issues.
