I have some race day/home video footage that are all named based on where they were taken with a dash "-" and then the name of the event. Is there any way to disable the "version" option for these movies?

I would really rather not have to rename all of these files.

Are you using the Movies library type? If so, you should switch to a Photos or Music Video library type since they don't do any online metadata lookups and generally just show the file names and folder structure.
