Moving over from Plex.
Over there, in folder naming conventions, anything you put in square braces is effectively ignored. Thus, ever since they implemented that, I've been using square braces to note a movie's original title, e.g. Abnormal Family [お嫁さん日和] (1984) {tmdb-112702}.
Now that I'm moving everything over to Jellyfin, is there a nomenclature one can use to store information you want to be human-readable, but that Jellyfin will ignore, e.g. Abnormal Family |お嫁さん日和| (1984) [tmdbid-112702] ? (If it's not obvious, my question is "what do I replace those pipes with to achieve the same goal?".)
To answer the questions asked in every post I've clicked on trying to answer this both here and on reddit:
1. I don't use *arr. For various reasons, I am not interested in adopting *arr as part of my setup.
2. Yes, I find it necessary/convenient to keep this information in the folder name. I collect a lot of stuff from non-Roman-alphabet countries, and having the original title on a movie makes it obvious at a glance in a way the tmdbid doesn't--especially important in cases where I have multiple movies with the same translated name made in different parts of the world. (Yes, I am looking at the directories on a daily basis--at the moment I'm converting all of the imdbids to tmdbids I can, and I expect I'll be doing that for the next three months or so, plus when trolling physical media closeout sales, it helps to be able to pull up my directory structure and scroll for titles to see if I already have something. Various other reasons as well.)
