Greetings. I am fairly new to Jellyfin having installed it a few weeks ago and I am enjoying it more and more. I recently came upon an Intel ARC A380 card and I would like to use this within Proxmox for transcoding purposes. I know how to create a VM and pass a PCI device to it so where I get lost is that I can't find a solid, or rather, easy method to get the card transcoding for Jellyfin. After several hours browsing the web and reading countless threads, I am more confused. I would appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction from A to Z. This card is in a server that runs proxmox and running a VM is preferred over running a CT. Thank you in advance.

What is the guest OS? This will matter below:

    In jEllyfin Web,
go to Dashboard -> Playback -> Transcoding
Top option should be enable hardware acceleration and choose either "Intel Quick Sync Video (QSV)" if you have a Windows guest OS that Jellyfin runs on, or select "Intel/AMD Video Acceleration API (VA-API, Linux only)" if your guest OS is a Linux OS. THen select the codecs you do or do not want to transcode. Save, and then restart your Jellyfin server for the settings to take.

P.S. the official documentation for hardware acceleration is your friend: https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/admini...eleration/
