Hey all, I've just finished playing around with my new synology NAS however about half of my library works with the settings that I have activated. mostly all my files. are rips of Blueray DVDs (I ripped myself). I have handbrake and MakeMKVBETA but neither seem to fixt the problem. has anyone else encountered anything similar? Files work just fine in VLC so, they are not corrupt. I've been working on getting my Jellyfin to work for about 4 days now I'm almost there but still so far. if anyone has any advice that would be most appreciated. thank you and Happy new year!

Can you share your jellyfin and ffmpeg logs with us? Post them to pastebin and link back here.

What are your server specs and OS?

For the record, VLC will power through corrupt files most of the time. So a file playing in VLC is not a good indicator that the file is not corrupt, though I doubt your files are corrupt. There is likely some other issue.

    thats not a playback error

thats a "my system install is broken" error, its failing trying to use hardware transcoding

contact the maintainer of your "community application version" or try their forum

I see a DS1522+, can't find a non-plus.  Is that what you have?  If so, your log indicates you have QSV selected but the 1522+ doesn't have an Intel CPU.  It has an AMD R1600, which doesn't have an iGPU.
