    Hi,

Do to some poor decisions when first setting up my media for Jellyfin, there are a few songs that are in a location I prefer they weren't. These songs already have plays, likes, and are in playlists.

Is there a way to move this file into a new location and have Jellyfin automatically move the metadata for it as well? So that the song can exist in a new location but still have all the previous metadata associated to it?

    Thanks!

In my experience Jellyfin doesn't purge metadata right away. So moving it to the new location and rescanning your library SHOULD preserve the metadata including listen count.
