I did a search, but I haven’t found anything about moving an instance of Jellyfin from one server to another, preserving all the watch history / users / etc. Is it possible?
I’ve had a server up for a two or three years now… and I’ve finally managed to get some new hardware. I’d like to run my instance of Jellyfin on that instead now. The file structure will be the same, video locations, etc. How would I go about it? Current hardware is an Intel NUC 5th Gen Intel processor / Ubuntu 22.04
Also, on that topic, The server has an 8th Gen Intel Processor and an Arc A310 GPU / Ubuntu 22.04. I haven’t messed with the hardware acceleration settings in Jellyfin before. I’ve read the docs, and they’re a tad confusing to me… Too much of a newbie in this stuff, I know, but I’m trying to take the best advantage that I can of the hardware I have now. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. I’m hoping that as I do this, I’ll figure out how it all works a little better.
Thanks!
