Hi Guys,
A question about music folders and NFO files.
I run Jellyfin on Truenas scale, both latest versions, and all my music is structured like recommended (music albums - Artist folders - album folders - songs), and also all is perfectly tagged by musicbrainz.
Some Jellyfin versions ago I loaded a music library into jellyfin, which included around 50 different artists. I made the settings to save info as NFO file inside every individual album folder.
After a library scan all Artist folders have artist NFO and also all albums have album NFO. So all worked great so far. All these folders is stored on my Truenas Scale server and shared by SMB.
Now I have a second server, Jellyfin on Truenas Scale, both latest versions, as mentioned above. I then load the mentioned music library into Jellyfin on new server, I run ibrary scan, and all artists shows up, but without any albums under the artists.
I tried remove library again and add again, still same.
Now the interesting part : If I go into every individual album folder, and remove the Jellyfin created NFO file, scan again, then all albums shows up under every Artist.
So it seems Jellyfin is not reading the existing album NFO file during scan.
Is this a known issue...???....or could it be that I have to wait for very long time to let Jellyfin read all these NFO files...??? (I tried to add only one artist with maybe 10 albums inside, run a scan, but after 20-30 minutes still no albums).
Or could it be settings related...???
