I have my server running on an 12100 and everything is working great. Currently I have a single user running Kodi with Jellyfin for Kodi. I'm thinking of setting up my parents PC with a VPN and access. But In the documentation it mentions not liking multiple clients accessing the database. Does anyone have more details about that? Like is this an issue for 1-3 users? What is the performance impact?

Kodi only has a single database, and it stores watched data inside of the database. As you can imagine, this causes some issues with multiple people sharing a single profile. The method to have multiple users all using Kodi is to set up multiple profiles, so each of them end up with their own database and watched status stays separate. There's a note about this in the docs: https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/client...r-accounts

The note in the docs about the database not liking to share is specifically with multiple media sources. For example, trying to use jellyfin-kodi and a local source at the same time, or jellyfin-kodi and plexkodiconnect at the same time. Multiple things writing to Kodi's database at the same time are a recipe for pain.

Oh that makes more sense. Thank you!
