Hi all I have the Wi 10 and using that version of Jelly Fin as a move media manager it seems at some point that my hard drive thinks it's only a network location and the drive letter won't pick in the disk manager or device manager have no idea how this happened how to fix it any idea

windows found it as a DLNA device on the network

how do you usually mount jellyfin to the above PC?
    what is it hosted on?

this is separate from mounting a network drive, if that's how to usually do it, you still need to mount an SMB share or ...

instaled locally on the Windows 10

    localhost

    that clears things up

if windows doesn't detect the external hard drive then it sounds like the drive died

nothing in Jellyfin can remedy this

the screen shot you provided is a "DLNA Media Device" being served from Jellyfin's DLNA server to share the library to DLNA Clients

it is not an "External Hard Drive"

i don't know what you have then because i have never plugged in a usb drive and had it show up as a DLNA Media Device

    but

Devices and Drives in Windows are managed by Windows; Not in Jellyfin

Jellyfin only accessing the drives after the OS mounts them
