    Hello,

I would like to replace my server because, when I need burn in subtitle the web player frozen net stable, currently I use an Intel Stick STK2 with intel cpu: 6Y30 , GPU: Intel HD 515 my OS: Dietpi paralel I use Nextcloud from this server.
I founded 2 budget system and I don't know which one is better for my usage.
Usually I play 1080p videos (this transcoding is possible the current hardware Smiling-face )
What I need 1080p video with burn in subtitle continuously, what hardware need for this? In the future maximum 2 paralel usage.

What I founded, what performance this 2 can do (transcode 1080p/4K, burn in, paralel):
    1. Micro - DELL Optiplex 3050 (i3-7300T, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD)
    2. Topton N9N Mini PC 12. gen N100/8GB LPDDR5/256GB M.2 SSD

I'd choose the N100 system. Much newer architecture and much more efficient.

Two 1080P transcodes is not problem. If the 4K content is SDR, it should be fine with two 4K transcodes. 4K HDR I'm not sure about since tone mapping is a lot more demanding.
