    SOLVED: media scan takes a long time

    media scans take way to long

    if it is that then there are logs from a few days ago inside it but no recent ones

    log must be missing something, only spans a 21 minute time frame and does not seem to reflect your reported 4-6 hour library scan

    im redoing the scan as i added a new library a little while ago

    and the logs for yesterday will not work in this case as that was me doing my first scan

    i thought scans after the first scan are supposed to be alot quicker but nope

    Edit:
    the odd thing is the constant writing to home partition as my cache and metadata are on another drive that has no reading or writing happening

    fixed it it was the home hdd moving datadir, cache and config to another drive fixes it
