Recently purchased a new TCL Google TV as the one I have in my LAN works well with Jellyfin.

I have set up my remote server and my family members have utilized it from their TV's for several months now with success.

I have updated to the latest Electric Eel True Nas Scale (docker) and Jellyfin app is up to date, or next to it, as of this posting. I can also access my service remotely from my mobile ios devices and office pc workstation. I am nowhere near an expert but all signs, in my view, point to an issue with my new TV or the internet connection it is reaching out from.

From my prior research into this problem, I tried connecting to https://demo.jellyfin.org/stable

The response is the same for both: - Connection Timed Out

The router, at the remote location, I am trying to access from is a Linksys. I am considering factory resetting it and clearing old devices from it as it has been in service for several years. I am also going to try using a friend's Apple TV to see if I can get success with that.

Any guidance on what to look at next will be appreciated.

Can you share your jellyfin logs via pastebin?

And do you have a reverse proxy setup for remote connections?

Update, checked my connection on my roommate's TCL roku TV and it is able to connect to my remote server. Factory reset my brand new TCL google and it still is showing the connection timed-out error

I know the problem is with the TCL Google TV / the Jellyfin app on that TV. New question, what can I do about it?

I'd still need to see your logs to get enough info to try to figure out what is going on with the server-client connection.
