Hi, I just installed Jellyfin yesterday.
It works and I like it a lot.
    But I have some questions

    1. When I change the movie poster, sometimes after a while, the system puts back the previous poster, which was chosen by default. Does this happen to anyone? Solutions?
    2. Where are the trailers taken from? From Youtube? Is there a way to change the URL so that I can manually link a trailer in Italian?
    3. Can I delete the progress of a movie that I started watching?

    Versions:
I'm using Jellyfin Server version for Docker / Container Manager on a Synology DS420+ NAS
WebOS Client on a LG OLED65C24LA TV

    thank you!

    1. Do you have images in your media directory? Or are you using NFOs?
    2. Youtube, I think. I'm not aware of a way to change what trailer it pulls.
    3. You can open the movie and just pull the slider all the way to the start and then press the back arrow. Your other option is to click on the "watched" check mark, wait a sec, then uncheck it.

    Hi

    Thank you for your help.
I am using NFO, I don't want to fill my media directory with too much  files
I  think the relevant settings are those in my screenshot (If I can add a screenshot, now I try)

This problem (number 1) is really driving me mad. Sometime the poster revert to the original after one minute, sometime anfter hours, sometime the day after.
I also tried to "lock" the film where I change the poster, in the metadata page, but it does not solve the problem

Do you have images already in your media directory? And is the NFO overriding the image you saved? Open up one of the NFOs and see if it is specifying a different image than the one you provided.

Oh YES !!! You solved it !!

I Have a bunch of libraries and while I was working to "clear" them, one had many "poster.jpg" files probably loaded from another DLNA server I was using.
For these film the nfo is "stuck" to point to that jpg.

I Have deleted all JPG files and now the problem is gone.

BUT: now I have a lot of film without the Poster Image (some films have it.... why ?)
If I ask a RESCAN of the library, the server download again the metadata but NOT the poster image.
I have to manually "identify" each film to have the poster and wallpapers downloded, or I have to add the manually picking from my HDD that is even worse.

    Any solution ?

    Thank you again !!

You can try rescaning and select "Search for missing metadata".

That was my biggest library and I had just started to organize data and images, so I deleted it and recreated it. Solved.
Thanks so much for your help!
