No books show in jellyfin

Hi there, I'm Daniele from Italy. I'm struggling to let my books shown int ojellyfin. I tried to use pdf, convert to epub, in awz ,txt but no luck. Jellyfin sees the folder tree, it also see the images i put in there, but no book at all

I have the 10.10.5 jellyfin version, runnin int oa proxmox ubuntu container updated

all other media works well

in my logfile there is nothing about any book, in any extension i tried, but if you need i can paste it

i also double checked the permission, trying to manipulate file and dir into the folder  without any issue. I also tried to reassign owner and group to file but no luck

last thing i tried, is to create a pdf file myself and even in this case no file is shown


Is there anything i could try?

Can you provide examples of how you've named and organized your books?

And I'm assuming you're using a books library type.

i have a folder named "books"
inside i tried to put a single PDF file or a single EPub file, or a epub converted PDF file (including all metadata) but the inly thing jellyfin let me show, is the jpg cover

the library is set as books, but i also tried all other type (just for testing purpose)

Is there a "play" button when you hover over the image?

yes there is, but if i click on it, the only thing i get is a slideshow of all the jpeg in the folder

I'va the same problem, but I just made a little kinda of fix, hehehe, I extracted all of my pdfs, cbr and cbz into folders with the name of the book an then use the format of the library as personal video and pictures and it works obviously that's no the real solution 'cause I'm loosing a lot of disk space but naw I can read as well as I can, before in other versions of the system take to much time to open a cbz, pdfs aopen faster but I wasn't able to make zoom
