    Hello,

Long time Jellyfin server admin here. I am running Jellyfin 10.10.1 for Windows on my home server with networking to my client apps through tailscale / wiremesh VPN.

    Here is my problem:

After installing Jellyfin 10.10.4 and Tailscale on a new client's android TV (Sony Bravia, circa 2018 model) no images or image metadata are displaying for movies / collections / music / tv shows / anything etc. This client can still access and stream content - its just that there are no images displaying which I would like to fix for them.

    The solutions I've already attempted:

    -Restart Jellyfin server
    -Restart TV
-Clear JF’s app data cache on AndroidTV
-Re install Jellyfin on client's TV
-Update Client’s Jellyfin to latest version
-Allow all permissions to Jellyfin app on AndroidTV
-Login as myself (all other devices I use give image metadata, like on my phone, my own TV, etc, this still did not work)

After researching this issue on Google I've seen several forum threads here and have attempted all proposed solutions to no avail.

Unfortunately I cannot update my server 10.10.1 to the same version as the client 10.10.4 until I'm back home and am trying to fix this remotely if that's possible. Could there be any other fixes that might solve this problem?

    Thank you
    very much in advance!

Can you share your server logs via pastebin?

Hello thank you for your quick response

Unfortunately the logs are too long to copy and paste everything but I've included the first portion in this pastebin:

    https://pastebin.com/raw/G62j09i4

Thanks in advance! Hopefully that helps

That is definitely not enough. Give privatebin.net a try. They have a higher limit.

If that is still not enough, zip the log and attach it to a forum post.

Here is the log specifically for androidTV client : https://pastebin.com/t9ZSE9Yw

The actual log for each day presents errors in android ("Failed to copy to clipboard" exact error) as they are too long to copy on my mobile / cellphone so I can't provide more than that, unfortunately, until I have access to my computer on my home server

    Hopefully this helps, thanks again!

I don't think failure to load images would show up in an Android TV log dump. Report back once you are able to share a full jellyfin server log.

Sounds good, thank you for your help thus far.

I'll attach the dump once I'm back home in a few days in the hopes that this helps, perhaps upgrading my server to the same version as the client will also resolve the problem. Fingers crossed! Thanks

Hello again, thank you so much for your help so far.

Here is the expanded pastebin with full logs: https://privatebin.net/?91591793adf83023...1iTHjzxZJf

Note: the client with the image errors connects around 22:30-22:35 and this reflects in the logs, hopefully this helps pinpoint the problem.

    Thanks again in advance!

Are you using a reverse proxy? If so, which one and how is it configured?

Also, have you tried binding Jellyfin specifically to one of your interfaces? Either the LAN IP or the Tailscale IP?

Can I jump in here as I have the same problem as Alzabo.

I have tested various AndroidTV apps from 0.17.9 to the current one, the same everywhere. I only see the “default” folders / file images.

As soon as I install the Android app in version 2.6.2 on the TV, everything is displayed correctly. (With the exception of the TV's resolution, which is why permanent use is unfortunately not possible)

What and how can i provide more infos?
