    my actual platform is
    - jellyfin server 10.10.7 on windows;
    - archive of video on nas;
    - different jellyfin player inside my home network (windows and xbox).

    the bugs i have is about the player. as i said i have different player and the same result. trying play a long video (more than 2 hours)
    the video is not sync with the sound. otherwise i have a problem in the progress bar because of it don't indicate the exact length of the video but about 50%.
    in the middle of the bar there is a block that includes the other 50% but it is not possible to scan it. the video continues but not the progress bar so is not possible
    resume a stopped session or search a part of the video you are interested in. i found this problem on every different version of player but maybe a server problem.

    Thx for your answer. bye

    Can you share your logs via a pastebin site like privatebin.net as well as a mediainfo or ffprobe output from the media file in question? This is generally a sign of poor encoding on the file, bad chapters, or something similar. You can always strip the chapters with either ffmpeg or mkvmerge, but I'd recommend looking at the output of the commands mentioned above and sharing here if you're unsure.

    Is this being transcoded while watching? I'd assume so. That may be part of the issue. Do you have your Jellyfin logs as well and, if this is being transcoded, the ffmpeg logs? All found in Dashboard > Logs.

    Could be your .iso format. From the Jellyfin documentation:

    ".iso files and other disc image formats should work, but are not supported. It is recommended that disc image formats be remuxed into mkv
    containers, or extracted into VIDEO_TS or BDMV folders".

    Have you tried "ripping" the movie into a .mkv, .mp4 then posting that to the server?

    thank you alleycat for this cut from the documentation. no i didn't try that way. now i will but for me it will be a so long and difficult job and i not so sure to apply to all my .iso file. the other way is distroy the iso and use a normal folder with all the inside file of the iso it could be long at the same and less usefull considering that manege a iso file is more simple than 15 different file.
