My server (Asustor Drivestor 4 Pro AS3304T) very very noisy, even when not in use. I suspect that the drives could be fastened more effectively - but does JF do some scanning or something else all the time? if so, can I turn it off? I've checked the admin pages but nothing leaps out at me.

    Thanks.

Is it vibration noise, fan noise, or the R/W head moving around?

I also have an 18 tb drive that is very noisy, but im either not sure if WD would accept them via an RMA, so i use my 18 tb drive as backup drive for my 2 8 TB drives... What i fear is that the header someday will crash a part of the 18 tb drive..
