Hello, I'm fairly new to using Jellyfin and a novice when it comes to tech in general so pardon if I don't know all the proper language. To preface, I own a LG C2 OLED TV. I'm currently running into an issue with playback on my Chromecast Ultra 4K where it doesn't seem to display HDR correctly (dull colors). However, playing the same movie on the Jellyfin app on the native LG app plays fine with the HDR logo showing and everything. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue as I would like to use the Chromecast which allows me to get Dolby Vision which I don't get with the LG app.

It depends on the kind of HDR. There are a stupidly large number of HDR formats and some devices support some of them while other devices support others. The HDR landscape sucks.

    It's HDR10 I think?

HDR10 is pretty widely supported. Jellyfin's casting implementation is pretty jank.

So you're able to get Dolby Vision via Jellyfin casting but not HDR10? Is Jellyfin transcoding the Dolby Vision but not HDR10?
