Just curious why when you hit play, it loads (Spinning cercle for 1 second), Stop and loads again (Spinning) before playing the movie. It does that since version 10.0.9. Before it would load once and play. All my file are direct play. No transcoding.

    Thanks

Just noticed in the activity log, you can see « Phil has finishing playing xxx » then « Phil is playing xxx. » seem like jellyfin start playing and stop and then plays again.

Give the developer time to respond, it's one person that does the roku app, I know he checks here sometimes, he's responded to a question I had in the past. I'm sure he will respond at some point.

That's not a Roku "issue" per say. I have family that use it on everything from a tizen client to iOS to Roku and just about everything in-between. The start stop start thing I have noticed in my dashboard, but it's not a Roku "thing". It's a media thing, now I'm not sure but I do notice that it's certain files and they might be transcodes (never dug into it). Remember every client handles different media, for example playing a .TS on the web client won't transcode but it will be transcoded to play on Roku.

Oh I don't develop, but I do submit bugs lol.

In my case, it's definitly a Roku app issue or was purposely made that way. All my file goes through dvdfab before I add it to the server, so they all have the same video, audio, sub format. I have zero transcode.

He's probably busy with a lot of things. I don't mind to wait since It's not a important issue. Everything plays fine.
