Had a previous install of Jellyfin which was working fine until it suddenly wasn't.  Sadly I didn't do much troubleshooting as I (naively) thought I'd do an update to 10.10.6 and that would fix it.

Did a first reinstall and saw no change.  Tried both the X64 and AMD64 installs (stupidly) and when that didn't work I lost patience (due to the fact that I have difficulty focusing due to brain fog issues) and deleted everything and did a clean install of x64 10.10.6 using the windows service option.  I know it's not recommended but I need it to stay running if someone logs the machine off.

After install I have two initial issues.  Firstly, the system tray icon is not appearing because Jellyfin.Windows.Tray.exe is not being run for some reason.  I can temporarily get around that by right-clicking and running it as an admin, which starts the system tray applet (confirmed the service does indeed start and is running under the Network Service account), however, when I go to the system tray app and select "Open Jellyfin" I get a webpage asking me to choose a server (I select the machine it is running on - localhost) and get the error message:   "We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again."

Attached the log from     c:\programdata\jellyfin\server\log    as a text file

Let me know if any other files would be helpful.  Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Clear your browser cache. Or open a private/incognito window.

Well now... I didn't expect that. Clearing cookies gave me a similar window but with the machine name missing. Typed in the IP and was prompted with a username / password login box. Got around that by running the setup wizard (as googled on this site) at http://localhost:8096/web/index.html#!/wizardstart.html

It seems I may have a running server now (don't have time to dig into it currently)

    Thank you so much!
