I recently noticed the change in image paths introducted in 10.9.5. While I generally prefer to leave my season poster images in "Season XY/folder.jpg", I can live with the new schema. However, I also noticed that if I search for missing metadata, Jellyfin generates a "season-specials-poster.jpg" in the show root directory, regardless of the presence of a "Specials" folder. Is there a way to disable this? It just annoys me to see those files in the root when I know they aren't used.

Do you by chance have the missing episode fetcher enabled from the TVDB plugin?
That can be causing your server to fetch images for things you don't have yet in your server.
