I am running jellyfin server on a win11 desktop. Then kodi app on a chromecast with google TV unit with the Jellycon addon. Using skin Aeon Nox: SiLVO for menu customisation.

been able to figure out how to get all my requirement going apart from one thing... on the mobile Jellyfin app (and in native kodi) there is a "Play from here" context menu option of tv series episodes. This allowed play to start from the selected episode and it would go direct to the next one when current one finished.
I can find a play all on the season or series listing but if i select an episode out of the list I can only play not play from here.

I found settings in both the addon settings and kodi settings to play next episode on complete (i don't really want that as default behaviour, just when i choose.. but i will compromise).. but none of them seem to work at all.. best I have gotten was getting it to ask if i wanted to play the next episode which is not what i want.

Is there a way to say: play from ep 19, which will then play ep 20 and then 21 etc without any user input?

    Thanks,

p.s. also how do i manage libary cover images? 1 library has none, 2 others have random ones I don't like and the collection library one is ok..

The library cover is a random banner image from the content in that particular library. IIRC, it rotates to another image once a week. You can manually set them though. On the home screen or in the library dashboard you can "edit images" and manually set one.

By default, all the clients I've used automatically advance to the next episode for a Shows library. I recall that our clients will NOT auto advance if you are using a mixed library type.

What library type are your shows in?
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB
    Storage
4x WD Red Pro 6TB CMR in RAIDZ1

They are in a shows type library. It works fine on android mobile app, auto plays next episode no problems. Seems to be either the jellycon addon or kodi itself..
Thanks for the info about the cover images.
