Some titles not playing in DoVi, despite saying DoVi.

Hi all,

As a lot of people, I'm currently trying to switch from Plex to Jellyfin. So far, it's been a breeze, got all my media set up and everything identified and looking good. However, when I just finally wanted to watch something, I noticed that series and movies that are in DoVi (as mkv containers) did not play as DoVi, but fell back to HDR10+. These exact same files have no issue playing in DoVi on Plex, and I've never had any issues on Plex with DoVi not playing properly.

Some shows and movies play in DoVi just fine on Jellyfin, it seems to be entry/file specific. For all of them, it does say "Dolby Vision" on the title page, yet they instantly fall back to HDR10+.

I tried looking for any kind of FAQ or tips on this, but couldn't find anything. I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks for the response! I'm using 10.10.7, running the server on my Whatbox seedbox and the client is the latest app version on my Android TV.

The DoVi profile that fall back to HDR10+ and are properly outputting are one and the same: 8.1. Some 8.1 play fine, some instantly fall back to HDR10+. The ones that do fall back play fine on Plex.
