    Error continuing transmission

The option to go back to the minute you were watching does not work.

I have a strange error where playback does not continue on my SmartTV using the official Google Play application.

For example, if I watch an episode of a series with a total duration of 1 hour and I watch a total of 30 and I come back the next day... it does not play where I left it, it starts from the beginning.

I have checked both exoplayer and LibVLC and the error persists, on my server I have the default values set to "continue" within the playback category.

Does anyone know what can happen and how I can fix it?

    Thank you!

Does Jellyfin have the episode under "Continue Watching" on the home screen?

Yes, the episode is in "continue watching" before it worked and now it doesn't, I think it is an error from an update that they released 2 days ago that broke that function for me because I think that at the configuration level I don't have to touch anything. No?

In the web version it works perfectly

Does this happen with ALL your media? Or a particular set of media?

And which version is your client? You mention a release from two days ago, is that 0.16.7 or .8? When it plays on your browser, is it transcoding?

I have tried it with 2 different series and different chapters, I have not tried it with movies (I will do it now)

In the browser and firetv it works well.

My version is 0.16.7 which is the latest on Google Play

The problem is that I finish viewing something and it doesn't automatically go to "continue viewing" unless I exit the app and re-enter.

I have reinstalled the app and restarted the device.

I've checked permissions, it has both storage and microphone enabled.

I've checked "enable reactive home page" to see if it fixes it but it hasn't happened.

In the Jellyfin Android TV app, there is a setting under developer options to send logs to the server. Enable that, replicate the problem, and see if it sends logs to the server. They appear in the same directory as your server and ffmpeg logs and start with "upload". I'm not sure if it will send logs for every error type, though.

I already know what the error is, I left it configured to always ask for the player I want to use.

If you use this option "continue play" stops working

Since playback in Jellyfin is somewhat unstable right now, it would be nice if this option were compatible with continuing playback.
