Albums not showing under Artist

I have a couple albums by Andy Statman and David Grisman.  When I browse to the album name or search for the album name, it comes up and I can click through to the album and play it. 

The artist name is "Andy Statman and David Grisman", when I click the artist name the artist page comes up but the albums are not displayed. 

Jellyfin seems to know the albums are there, as it reports "1h 54m" playtime.  However, when I click play on the artist page, it says "Playback Error".  The logs contain no error messages after this playback error. 

When I search for the artist name, nothing comes up. 

Oddly enough, I have an album that has the artist as "David Grisman with Andy Statman", and that one works fine.

I'm baffled.  Where would I start looking for clues on what's happening here?

This is on Jellyfin 10.8.11, on TrueNAS SCALE via TrueCharts.  Accessing via the web interface.  The albums are Songs of our Fathers and Mandolin Abstractions.  The album that works is New Shabbos Waltz.

I have identified them through MusicBrainz which was able to populate metadata and images, this didn't change the behavior of the Artist page. 

Any ideas?

Music organization and the Music UI is definitely a weakness for Jellyfin. And the UI has issues when only one time exists in Music for some categories (like you found with one album when you click on the Artist).

Some Jellyfin mods and devs still use Plex just for Music because of Jellyfin deficiencies with Music. But this is being actively worked on and improved.
