Playlists collection

I ask everyone in the house, no one has tried to create playlist at all.

I created a playlist now, and it's showing up in my home page's "my media" section, so Folders--Movies--TV shows--Playlist. the new playlist is also showing up in the playlist icon inside Folders.
I then tried that setting to hide playlist on home screen and it worked for the one on home page, but not in Folders.
I then deleted the playlist, and the playlist in my home page is gone, but the one inside Folder is still there.


So instead of using collections I (stupidly?) edited many "sort title" in metadata to keep things organized. Is it possible to reset the server but keep my customized metadata?
I also still have the backup of the entire server folder of 10.8.11 if that can help at all..

How many titles did you give a "sort title" to? Why not just go into each one's metadata and remove it?

maybe 50 to 100 titles? but I don't want to remove them? also this isn't the cause of the rogue playlist icon?

No, the sort title most likely will not be the cause of that icon.
