    Plugin viability?

    Why don't these exist yet?

I'm new to the plugin world - I've played around with a bunch, and there have been some things I've done as workarounds, but I notice there's not a lot of grab for metadata/tag management plugins in Jellyfin, or Smart Shuffle, expanded playlist options, etc. At one point, they seemed to have existed, but any repo I look into doesn't seem to work anymore/work with Jellyfin.

I did add Smart Collections, which I wanted to use since I used a script to tag all my appropriate TV Series, but once added I can't edit any settings.

Just wondering, because I'm still gaining knowledge - Why the dearth of tools for bulk metadata editing, or working with TV Series (I don't want EVERY single TV Series listed just under Shows (it's a lot), I want them grouped into collections, which is why I'm trying Smart Collections).

I dunno, I finally have everything set up, my server is automated with all the {apps we don't talk about - TDP}, jellyseerr, reverse proxies and vpns. I moved from Emby (past 5 years) to Jellyfin recently, and I've loved toying with things and I find it better, but I'm always interested in making the interface look clean and easily-accessible for my grandmother and others.

Guess I'm either looking for plugins or tips to help me organize my TV Series mainly Smiling-face

Jellyfin has a lot of options and plugins for organizing and displaying movies, but lacks the same options for TV series.

The only semi-automated method I am aware of is to use the "Collection Import" plugin (repo link below) and create a list on mdblist (looks like an account is required). I haven't used it myself, but it looks like lists on mdblist are/can be dynamic as well?

In the upcoming major release (10.11), TV series will be able to be organized into collections, similar to how movie libraries are structured.
