There are some TV-series where each episode is a movie and therefore has a poster (example Grimm's Finest Fairy Tales). But, since the poster is portrait, not landscape, it often gets cropped in a bad way. Especially on the Roku, this comes out very bad... Is there any solution for this?

Are you using a mixed library type?
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB
    Storage

No, not as far as I know. Am I supposed to do that, and if so, where do I set that?

Now I found the mixed mode. So I created a new library of that type, but the problem remains.

It was a question, not a recommendation. But was based on a misunderstanding of your question.

Are you providing images directly? Or from image files in your media folders? Do you have any themes or custom CSS applied?

And can you share screenshots of what you are seeing? And what screen you are on? And what library type WERE you using before?

Is there a TMDB listing for the shows/movies in question?

    The content type is Show.
In this example I selected a poster file from The Open Database, but I have also teste to download a file to the hard drive and then add it, but the problem is the same.
As I said this is a TV Series, but each episode is also a movie, so for that reason, in exist a poster (portrait format) for each episode, so that's the file I want to use.
I do not have any custom CSS applied.
I attach a screenshot from the web interface, but the problem especially exist in Roku. I.e. the poster picture that is in portrait mode, is cropped and displayed as landscape.

There isn't an option to switch the card from landscape to portrait. You'll need to adjust the image to fit accordingly.
